Fast forward or Flash backwards

Bangalore touted as the most happening place, if i may say, is in bad shape. The rain last Monday, gave us the perfect picture of the wonderful drainage system that the city has. Death of a youth who stepped into the drain, was heart breaking.

I always read about the bad roads in town. The roads i drive on, aren't the perfect kinds, not many potholes and that kept me happy. After driving through Bannergatta Road over the weekend, i felt i was transported to a place which is worse than a village road. And to think of it, This road leads to the premier management Institute, has some hazar MNC companies along the road. Where are the authorities who are to lay the road?

I was told that one of the Software Giants whose office is housed on this road, offered to lay the road. Wonderful Gesture. But they were asked to pay a bribe (hold ur breath) of Rs. 10 crore...isn't this being real real greedy?

After that humpy bumpy ride, i thanked my stars for having safely lived through the trauma of that dirty patch of road. Back at work, first thing in the morning i read is this big piece on Bangalore and Big jobs.

So much for generating hype!!!

Hey, I definitely agree on this. Bangalore is going from bad to worse day by day. Peak hour traffic is miserable, pathetic roads and what not. As u mentioned, the less said the better. Hope some political moron wakes up on these issues and does something.

I was just writing about a horrific experience I had on the roads last night and I came across your post talking about a similar experience! I've been in Bangalore for about 3 months now and I must say that the state of the roads is definitely the worst part about the city! Everything else, I am enjoying!
