na thaa kuchh to Khudaa thaa, kuchh na hotaa to Khudaa hotaa

huaa jab Ghum se yuun behis to Ghum kyaa sar ke katta ne kaa
na hotaa gar judaa tan se, to zaanon par dharaa hotaa
[behis=shocked/stunned, zaanon=thigh]
huii muddat ke 'Ghalib' mar gayaa par yaad aataa hai
wo har ek baat pe keh naa ke yun hotaa to kyaa hotaa
[muddat=duration/period ]
On the lighter side
har sham dafan hote hain kuch armaan
har subah ummeedon ki fasal khadi hoti hai.
har kabr pe ugta hai koi nanha sa paudha
har deewar me koi khidki khuli hoti hai.
