One of the deadlines in Times of India, Bangalore Edition, this morning screamed out "Newborn dies, nurses accused of mishandling", not a very good headline to begin ur day, u say, but read on for the content of the news,
Angry relatives of a 22-year-old housewife whose newborn child died from mishandling at a government maternity hospital on Tuesday night protested in front of JJ Nagar police on Wednesday demanding action against the errant staff.
Police said Noorjahan, the victim's mother lodged a complaint stating that her daughter was admitted to Russel Maternity Hospital on Tuesday night where the doctors were absent and nurses refused to take up the case. The pregnant woman developed labour pains late on Wednesday night and had complications while giving birth. In the absence of doctors, the nurses in the hospital mishandled the newborn which accidentally fell on the ground and died, the complainant alleged. Police are investigating.
Absolutely disturbing. A soul came into this world and for no fault of hers, had to leave this world. A few seconds in this big bad world and the kid left with a total bad impression of the earthly beings. I would term this as short and sour visit to the earth. May the kids soul rest in peace, Amen!
Every morning we wake up to some absolutely disturbing piece of news. and what do we do, think about it for a while and then go ahead with our life. Selfish people na, magar chalta hai....hum aise hi hain!
As Isaac Asimov said "Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome."
With my thinking cap on 24/7. On my way to grow wiser and richer in wisdom and experience.
